Known for it's sport watches and chronographs Heuer was all started in 1860 when Edouard Heuer founded the company in St. Lmire, Switzerland. It was there that the first patented chronograph was created in 1882. In the 1960's Tag Heuer joined with Hamilton to create the first ever automatic chronograph watch. Just two years later Heuer became the first Swiss made watch in space. Tag “techniques d'Avante Garde” acquired Heuer in 1985. Tag Heuer is a division of a luxury goods company called LVHM. Some of Tag's most popular watches are the Formula I, Carrera, Monaco, and the Grand Carrera. Tag Heuer has ambassadors ranging from Steve Mcqueen, Tiger Woods, Uma Thurman and Leonardo Dicaprio. Recently Tag Heuer has created the first avant garde 360 degree watch making museum.
